Panthachowk attack; six CRPF men, girl injured

Srinagar: Six CRPF men and a school going girl sustained injuries after militants attacked a forces convoy at Sempora, near Panthachowk in the city outskirts Monday.
CRPF spokesman, Rajesh Yadav told Kashmir Reader that all the six injured CRPF men are being treated at army hospital Badami Bagh.
He further said that combing operation to trace the attackers was underway.
Meanwhile, sources said that a school going girl, Zainab D/O Ashiq Hussain Wani R/O Pampore, has also sustained injuries in the militant attack.
She has been taken to bone and joint hospital, Barzalla, Srinagar and she was stable, they said.
As reported earlier militants attacked a CRPF vehicle which was part of a convoy resulting in chaos in the area.
This is the third militant attack in Srinagar in last three days.
Militants attacked an army vehicle near Bemina on Saturday injuring three troopers. Militants killed a policeman and injured 11 personnel on Sunday evening in downtown area of Srinagar while as they injured 6 CRPF men near Panthachowk today.
