NC demands judicial probe into Chadoora killings

Srinagar: The opposition National Conference (NC) on Wednesday demanded judicial probe into the gruesome killing of innocent civilians in Darbug area of Chadoora and described them as ‘a blot on Indian democracy’.
“The ruling PDP has let loose unabated reign of terror and repression against innocent Kashmiris and in their pursuit of remaining in good books of their masters in Delhi, the present coalition government is trampling human rights day in and day out”, NC general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar said in a statement.
He said that independent probe, preferably by a sitting or retired high court judge, will unravel the amount of excessive force used against the civilians that resulted in the worst type of bloodbath. He said the humanity bled when the brother of five sisters Zahid Rashid, who was the sole bread earner of his aged parents, fell to bullets. He said Aamir Fayaz, brother of three sisters, and Ashfaq Wani have become target of brute forces that have been using pellet guns and targeting the victims at their chests.
He accused the PDP and BJP of giving long rope to the forces as a result of which they have taken overall control of the administration and the government has just become a puppet in their hands.
In another statement the party said that the poll campaign continued in Srinagar parliamentary constituency. During which the party leaders castigated the PDP-BJP government for perpetrating reign of terror on innocent Kashmiris.
“The coalition government has become so intolerant that it is responding to dissent by bullets and brutal force”, the senior leaders said while addressing workers in Batamaloo, Ganderbal and Kangan assembly constituencies.
They said over two years of mis-governance of the PDP- BJP is a dark chapter of Jammu and Kashmir, which has witnessed bloodshed on the streets and squares of Kashmir, arrests and slapping of draconian laws on innocent youth. “The people of the Valley are currently undergoing a nightmarish era”, they said while referring to the killing of three young innocent youth near Chadooora. They said drunk with power, the PDP leaders are deriving sadistic pleasure in watching mayhem and brutality. In their enthusiasm of appeasing the RSS, the PDP has crossed all limits of inhumanity by making own people fodder of cannons.
