GANDERBAL: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Wednesday completed the training of 41 youth including five female candidates for self employment here.
The three-week Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) were held under Himayat Self Employment scheme for the unemployed youths.
Maximum candidates trained during eighteen-day-long training in Ganderbal were from nearby villages and Srinagar, a JKEDI official said, adding that the trained candidates shall be provided financial linkage under Term Loan scheme of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC).
The Entrepreneurship Development Programs were modeled for manufacturing, services and agri-allied sectors so as to enable the aspirants to choose from a range of entrepreneurial activities viable in their respective areas.
“As today was the last day of our training, we requested our trainer for a friendly Kabadi match to make it a memory,” Danish Ahmad, a trainee told Kashmir Reader.
