SRINAGAR: A week-long workshop on Research Methodology for Ph.D students of different disciplines in Social Sciences concluded at University of Kashmir. It was organised by the Department of Social Works.
Resource persons from University of Kashmir and other universities delivered lectures on various themes of qualitative and quantitative approaches in research methodology. The participants were provided training on various techniques and software used in quantitative research methodology by resource persons including Professor Nitin Arora from Punjab University Chandigarh and Professor Rakesh Thakur from P.G College Chandigarh.
A special lecture on qualitative methodology was delivered by Professor Vinay Kumar Srivastava, Head Department of Anthropology at Delhi University.
The valedictory function was chaired by Prof MA Wani, Dean Academic Affairs who stressed upon research scholars to develop a sound understanding of basic concepts of research methodology.
Dr Wakar Amin, Coordinator of the workshop, conducted the proceedings and Dr. Shazia Manzoor, Coordinator Department of Social Work presented the vote of thanks.
