SRINAGAR: The incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid tributes to a prominent social leader and proprietor of Chinar Motors Poloview, Muhammad Ayoub Becha who breathed his last on Friday.
Malik, who is in Srinagar Central Jail, in his message said the demise of Muhammad Ayoub Becha is a personal loss for him. Recalling the social services of the deceased, JKLF chairman said, “He was a kind hearted person who cared for poor and needy and always helped them. He had a great passion of social work and his selflessness was exemplary. He was also a great sympathiser of freedom struggle and had tremendous love for the oppressed people.”
A high-level delegation of JKLF visited the residence of the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. Party’s secretary general Er Ghulam Rasool Dar, M Sideeq Shah, Mir Muhammad Zaman and M Altaf were part of the delegation.
Meanwhile, JKLF has paid tributes to prominent resistance leaders Javed Ahmad Shalla and Mohammad Sideeq Sofi “who were arrested by BSF on 24th March 1992, and since then are missing”.
Remembering the sacrifices of these two and the sufferings their families had to bear during last many years, a JKLF spokesman said “a country responsible for custodial disappearances of more than 10,000 Kashmiris cannot be called a democratic country”.
