KVIB holds awareness camp

RAMBAN: J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board in association with District Industries Centre today organized an ‘awareness campaign-cum- education programme under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP’), here on Saturday.
Project Manager DIC, Bashirul Hassan and Superintend ITI, Muddasir Ahmed Wani addressed the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, District Officer KVIB Tilak Raj elaborated on aim and objectives of this awareness programme besides disseminating information among participants about the role of the Board towards rural industrialization through establishment of micro-enterprises by duly availing finance under PMEGP and other self employment schemes.
Other resource persons also highlighted the government Schemes being implemented by KVIB in the state. The detailed features of various schemes were also delivered in this context to the unemployed youths of the District who intend to setup their self employment venture under manufacturing or service by availing finance under PMEGP.
Prospective Entrepreneurs present in the event were guided regarding online submission of applications and other necessities and requirements for availing financial assistance.
The KVIB officer also presented his views on MUDRA, under which KVIB is also sponsoring the loan cases under textile sector to create income generating avenues in far-flung areas of the district.
