India promotes drug addiction in Kashmir: LeT

Srinagar: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Saturday said that the India is trying to destroy the Kashmir youth by making the drug culture common in the Valley.
In an e-mailed statement to KNS, the LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted the outfit chief, Mehmood Shah as saying, “India on the name of computer centres or other things are making the drugs culture common in the Valley to destroy Kashmiri youth.”
“The business of drugs by the government is on rise in the Valley, which has exposed the enemy attitude of the present coalition government towards Kashmir,” he said.
Shah said, “The use of drugs is the biggest sin in Islam and those who are involved in these things should be punished. Obviously, the people identify the enemy and friend.”
He asked Islamic clerics to deliver speeches and make people aware about its consequences. “I appeal youth to stay away from drugs as India is trying to sabotage the ongoing freedom movement by such plots. We won’t allow such culture in the Valley and it stands the responsibility of every parent to keep close vigil on their beloved ones,” Shah said.
