ICAR sponsored training programme on Sustainable  Precision Agriculture concludes

Srinagar: Division of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture Wadura on Friday concluded its a 10 day long Indian Council of Agriculture Research sponsored training programme on “ Recent  Decision Support System Tools: for Sustainable Precision  Agriculture” held at SKUAST campus Shalimar.
The training programme that was attended by delegates from different states of the country. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nazeer Ahmad was the chief guest of valedictory function at SKUAST Kashmir, Shalimar campus
He stressed on execution of site specific recommendations to farmers which in turn facilitate precise and sustainable agriculture. Other dignitaries, who were presented in the function, were Professor (Dr) Shakeel Ahmad Wani ,Director Eduction, Prof. Z. A. Baba, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture., Dr. F. A Zaki, Dean Faculty of Horticulture, Dr. K. N. Singh, Controller Examination and Heads from different divisions of the university.
Dr. Lal Singh, Course Director presented the summary of the training programme. Head, Division of Agronomy Prof. R. H Kanth welcomed the dignitaries in the valedictory function and requested the HVC to give the participation certificates to trainees. The participants gave the feedback of the training programme. The delegates from outside the state admired the quality of the training and expressed gratitude on the hospitality they received in the campus as well as in valley. At last the vote of thanks were presented by Dr. Parmeet Singh, Course coordinator of the training programme. The Hon ble Vice Chancellor congratulated Faculty of Agriculture, especially Division of Agronomy for acquiring sponsorship from ICAR for training  on this burning theme of Agriculture.
