Srinagar: Police on Thursday arrested twelve youths in Pulwama village of south Kashmir allegedly involved in protests, reports said.
The arrests were made during nocturnal raids in Arihal village of the district.
SSP Pulwama Mohammed Rayees Bhat confirmed Kashmir Reader that at least 12 youths have been detained at Arihal village.
He said that the arrested youths were wanted in many cases of stone pelting in the area.
SSP said that police had called the said youths through many notices but they did not respond. “Finally a police party arrested them,” SSP added.
