Srinagar: Police on Thursday arrested Muslim League leader Mohammad Yousuf Mir in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.
Muslim League sources said that Mir is officiating chairman of the pro-freedom party.
Meanwhile, police arrested 13 youths during night raids from various areas of Shopian district.
The arrests were made in Herman, Kundalan, Memander and Zainapora areas. As per police sources the arrested youth are allegedly involved in various cases.
SSP Shopian, Tahir Saleem told Kashmir Reader over phone that the arrested persons re involved in various cases related to law & order and were arrested to “create conducive environment for elections”.
