Malik expresses grief
SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed grief over demise of party’s veteran leader from Kotli ‘Azad’ Kashmir, Hafiz Zaffar Iqbal who breathed his last on Friday.
In a statement issued here, Malik said the deceased was most dedicated member of JKLF and remained committed to the cause for last thirty years.
“Hafiz Sahib was a close associate of JKLF founder and ideologue Late Aman Ullah Khan Sahib. He was a Hafiz-e-Qur’an and is survived by a son and four daughters,” Malik said.
JKLF senior vice-chairman Abdul Hamid Butt, chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar, zonal president Dr Toqeer Geelani, leaders Raja Haqnawaz and Manzoor Khan reached Kotli and participated in his funeral prayers and burial.
Terming the demise as a great loss, JKLF chief has prayed for the heavenly abode for the deceased and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
