Srinagar: Three militants convicted by military courts of Pakistan were executed on Wednesday at a high security prison in Sahiwal, Pakistan, reported Dawn.
According to the Pak’s Inter-Services Public Relations, the militants were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including attacks on armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
The military courts, in their two-year tenure, handed over a total of 161 death sentences of which 21 have been executed so far, said ISPR.
The convicts — Said Zaman Khan and Muhammad Zeeshan — were members of banned outfit Harkat-ul Jihad al-Islami, report said adding the third convict was member of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
All the three convicts were found guilty of attacking armed forces and law enforcement agencies, said ISPR.
