Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu national highway was closed again on Sunday after it was thrown open for traffic after four remaining closed for four days due to rains and snowfall.
An official of traffic department said that fresh landslides at Panthal in Ramban forced the authorities to shut the strategic 300km long highway.
A Met official told Kashmir Reader that there was prediction of light to moderate rainfall during the next 24 hours across Kashmir. He said the weather might improve on Tuesday.
On Sunday most areas of Valley witnessed an intermittent sunny periods. The official said that Srinagar witnessed maximum temperature of 10.2 degree Celsius while as minus 0-2 degree Celsius was the lowest temperature recorded in the summer capital.
