PULWAMA: Clashes erupted at many places in Pulwama district amid a shutdown against the killing of a civilian and two local militants in Padgampora on Thursday.
Clashes erupted in Koil and Tahab areas in which few people were reportedly injured.
Shops, business establishments, schools and colleges remained largely closed, while hundreds of people from different villages gathered at the native villages of the slain men to express sympathies with the bereaved familie of Amir Nazir Wani, Jahangir Ahmad Ganaie of Koil and Mohammad Shafi Wagay Banderpora Pulwama.
A school bus came under stone pelting at Pahoo Pulwama however, according to reports.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that stone pelting youth attacked the bus of Delhi Modern Public School, Pampore near Pahoo in Pulwama district early today.
Police sources said that some window panes on backside of the bus were damaged. No children was injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, normalcy resumed Tral on Saturday after six days of shutdown in area where, shops, business establishments, petrol pumps opened early this morning.
Meanwhile a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused some unexploded shells near encounter site at Haffo Tral area on Saturday where two Hizb militants were killed in an encounter last week.
Police has also asked Public of Haffu Tral and Padgampora to stay away from the encounter sites as some unexploded explosive material was still lying there.
“Please cooperate and we are making all efforts to clear the place by defusing the unexploded material” police officials said.
