Pulwama: Militants attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district with grenade and automatic weapons on Saturday evening.
Sources said that militants opened fire with automatic weapons towards a CRPF camp of 182 Battalion at Tahab in Pulwama. The CRPF fired at the militants in retaliation.
Senior Superintendent of Police Pulwama, Mohammad Rayees Bhat while confirming the incident of firing on CRPF camp told Kashmir Reader that no one was injured in the attack. He said that reinforcements have been sent and the area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched to nab the assailants.
Local sources said that the militants managed to flee as soon as the firing ended and before the reinforcements reached the spot.
