BARAMULLA: A day-long awareness camp under Agricultural Technology Mission Agency (ATMA) scheme organized by District Sheep Husbandry Department at Noorebagh, Baramulla.
The camp was presided over by District Sheep Husbandry officer Baramulla in which senior doctors, officials of the Department and a large number of breeders of the district participated.
On the occasion, participants were sensitized about the scientific techniques for better sheep rearing for increase of mutton and wool production in the district. The farmers were stressed to avail benefits of various centrally sponsored schemes to boost the livestock sector.
During the camp, the doctors made participants aware about various practices for prevention and control of different diseases in sheep. Free medicine kits and first aid kits were provided to 70 progressive farmers on the occasion.
