“Forces target families of militants after failing in field”
Srinagar: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) paid tributes to the two militants killed in an encounter with government forces in southern Kashmir’s Padgampora village on Thursday.
In an e-mailed statement to a local news agency, LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoting the outfit chief, Mehmood Shah as saying, “The freedom struggle has entered into the new phase with the full confidence of militants and the people of Kashmir.”
“Propaganda and the tactics of India are weakening while the people of Kashmir are coming to sacrifice their lives for the freedom struggle. The educated youth of Kashmir are sacrificing their lives for the secure and better future. The mothers and sisters are playing their role and the stone pelters are with stones against bullets while as the Indian forces are using bullets against the innocent people showing proof of their cowardice.”
Rejecting the statement made by the Director General of Police (DGP), S P Vaid, Shah said, “We never targeted the families of police officials but the forces after failing in the battle field usually target the families of militants and this process must stop.”
“We respect the families of police officials otherwise it is not any issue for us to reach their families.”
