Srinagar: Soon after the encounter between militants and government forces at Padgampora came to an end, scores of protesters came on streets at Pampore and started raising pro-freedom slogans.
The police and forces swung into action and tried to chase them away however they pelted stones on forces triggering clashes in the saffron town.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that soon after the violent protests, shopkeepers pulled down their shutters and schools were closed.
They said that people were protesting against the militant and civilian killing at Padgampora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Two militants were killed in the gunfight while as a 9th class student was shot dead during clashes with forces at Padgampora.
