SRINAGAR: The United Jihad Council (UJC) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Monday paid tributes to two slain militants who were killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday evening.
In a joint statement to a local news agency, Hizb and UJC chief, Syed Salahuddin said, “The two slain militants, Hafiz Muhammad Aaqib alias Aaqib Molvi and Saifullah alias Usama are the two shining stars of Jammu Kashmir who will always shine like gems. Their sacrifices will always be remembered.” Salahuddin while addressing a joint meeting of Hizb Command Council and General Council said, “Despite the threat given by the Army chief, people’s affection towards militants is appreciable and explains that the people of Kashmir are in same row in this freedom struggle.” Meanwhile, according to statement, Hizb’s vice chief, Saifullah Khalid and Moulana Taj Ali also spoke during the meeting. “There are some black sheep among the people of Kashmir who should stop performing shameful acts. These persons will be exposed and held answerable before people,” Saifullah said.
