Srinagar Hizbul Mujahideen and United Jihad Council (UJC) paid tributes to the two militants killed on Sunday at Tral in south Kashmir.
In a joint statement Salahuddin said the two slain militants identified as Hafiz Muhammad Aaqib alias Aaqib Molvi and Saifullah alias Usama were the two shining stars of Jammu Kashmir who will always shine like gems.
“The sacrifices given by the two slain militants will be remembered always and the people will feel proud over their sacrifices,” he said.
“Despite the threat given by the Army chief, the affection of people towards militants is appreciable and explains that the people of Kashmir are on the same page in the freedom struggle,” he said.
The statement said that Hizb vice chief Saifullah Khalid and Moulana Taj Ali also spoke during the meeting chaired by Salahuddin. “There are some black sheep among the people of Kashmir who should stop performing shameful acts. These persons will get exposed and have to answer before the people,” Saifullah said.
