Mirwaiz, Shah pay homage to Syed Shahabuddin

SRINAGAR: Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed condolence over the demise of senior member All India Muslim Personal Law Board and All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat, Syed Shahabuddin who passed away on Sunday.
In a statement issued here, Mirwaiz while hailing the deceased’s socio-political and religious contribution towards society prayed for his eternal peace.
In his condolence message, Mirwaiz paid tributes to Syed Shaab-ud-Din saying, “His services for Indian Muslims will always be remembered. I personally had several meetings with the deceased wherein we discussed several issues related to the betterment of society.”
The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah also expressed grief over the demise Syed Shahabuddin saying, “During my several meetings with him, I realized he had positive and sympathetic approach towards the resolution of Kashmir issue. He was a sincere leader of Muslims and always concerned of the well-being of this community. I pray to Almighty Allah to reward him for his services.”
