Srinagar: Global arms sales in the last five years reached a record high since 1990, a report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said.
As per the report India remains the world’s largest importer of weapons.
According to Bloomberg, India accounted for 13 percent of total global arms imports between 2012 to 2016.
As per report, under India remains, Saudi at the second place, followed by United Arab Emirates, China, and Algeria.
While between 2007 and 2011, India took 9.7 percent of global arms imports.
