Srinagar: Schools in the Kashmir valley reopened on Wednesday after a long winter break.
The winter vacation had started early December last.
The schools in Kashmir remained closed almost for eight months since July 2016 due to uprising triggered in the valley after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani was killed.
The students across the valley returned to their schools after the uprising and winter vacation today.
Earlier, the uprising had paralysed the entire state.
Hundreds of students had suffered grave injuries and some of them even were blinded due to the use pellet guns by the security forces.
