Police have intensified its crackdown on the residents of Palhallan, especially youths who according to police are involved in stone pelting cases.
Sources said that 15 local boys including 3 minors have been arrested since the search operation of forces was fully disrupted in the area some 6 days back.
They said that all these arrests were made outside Palhallan by establishing nakas.
Sources said that police raided an examination centre in Pattan on Monday and arrested few candidates hailing from Palhalan.
Local sources said that apprehending stiff resistance from the villagers, police have confined the Palhalan people in their area and whosoever moves out is being arrested.
However, police sources refuting the allegations said that they are only looking for some wanted stone pelters of the area.
Police have established nakas at different places on Sgr-Muzaffarabad highway.
It is worth mentioning here that people of Palhallan last week failed a cordon and search operation of forces by resorting to intense stone pelting.
Since then a manhunt has been launched to nab the youths involved.
Local sources said that 15 persons have already been arrested at hospitals, exam centres, railway track, etc.
Some of the arrested youths have been identified as Zubair Ahmad, Irfan Nab and Tanveer Ahmad.
