Ganderbal: Even after the passing of five years, the construction of Primary Health Center (PHC) at Kullan Sonamarg, Tehsil Gund of center Kashmir’s Ganderbal district is yet to be completed.
According to locals, the construction of the multi-storey PHC building was started in 2012.
Sources said the total estimated cost for construction is 3.42 crore but only but so far only 1.26 crore has been utilized.
While laying foundation of the building, the minister had said the project, executed by J&K Housing Board, is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
“The hospital should be constructed at the earliest,” Mushtaq Ahmad, a social activist said. The locals said they have several times approached authorities in this regard but to no avail.When connected, the Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, Syed Fayaz Ahmad said he is out of station. “I will look into the matter,” he said.
