DFA Kupwara won their inaugural match

25th State Football Championship

Jammu: A total of six matches were played on the inaugural day of 25th State Football Championship played at GGM Science College here on Saturday.
Param Sports Jammu, District Football Association (DFA) Kathua, DFA Kupwara, Musa Club Jammu, Churchill Brothers FC won their matches while Engineers XI got walk over as the opposite side failed to report on the ground.
In first match, Param Sports Jammu defeated DFA Kulgam by 2-1 in the second match of the day DFA Kathua defeated Pattan Zone XI in tie breaker. In third match DFA Kupwara defeated DFA Ramban by 3-2
While in fourth fixture of the day Musa Club, Jammu defeated DFA Shopian XI by 2-0.
Engineers XI earned walk over against DFA Reasi XI and in the last match of the day Churchill Brothers FC beat DFA Ladakh XI by a solitary goal.
On Sunday six matches are scheduled for the day.The tournamentis organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
