BUDGAM: Several examination centers in central district Budgam have turned into free-for-all melas as large number of people were seen interfering in the examination activity due to absence of security personnel around the examination centers.
“The examination centres located in different places of the district have turned into public melas as huge gathering of people were seen around and inside the school premises leading to the threat to employees deployed as well,” CEO Budgam Inderjeet Sharma said.
Some examination centers including BMS Sheikhpora Beerwah, High school Choone, High School Soibug, examination centre at Rizwan and several other places, sources said.
A local from Sheikhpora said that the relatives were providing chits and notebooks to the students writing the examination and the invigilators paid no heed to the brazen violations.
Sharma told Kashmir Reader that there was no security arrangement at various examination centers when he paid visit to them. He said that a dozen off teachers would be put under suspension.
He saidf police department did not provide ample security for the smooth conduct of examinations. However, the police refuted the charge.
“We have provided ample security to the examination centers but there might be some loopholes,” additional SP Budgam Amod Nagpure said.
