Srinagar: Incarcerated Hurriyat Conference (G) leader and Muslim League chairman, Masarat Alam was Tuesday shifted to police station Hajin, in Bandipora district.
Masarat was lodged in district jail Baramulla since a Srinagar court had sent him on remand last week.
“Masarat sb was produced in the Court of First Magistrate, Srinagar where a police party from Hajin came and took him along,” a Muslim League spokesman told Kashmir Reader.
He said that an FIR No 53/2015 is lodged against him in police station Hajin.
Masarat, is continuously behind bars since he spearheaded mass uprising 2010.
He was arrested on October 18, 2010 and was released for mere 40 days in February 2015 since then.
