Tral: Scores of people including women protested against Development Department (PDD) south Kashmir’s Tral area in Pulwama district on Saturday.
The protesters said that the low tension wires continue to pose threat to the lives of people at Kounserbal Tral. “it seems that PDD officials have turned a blind eye towards this disaster in making,” said a protester, adding that the sagging poles pose grave threat to the residents.
The protesters said that they had several times complained to PDD authorities regarding this issue but the concerned department have not taken any initiative to lessen the fears that exist in the village. We had time and again requested hiher authorities but to install new electric poles but of no avail as they do not bother to mitigate the problems faced by people in the area,” said another protester
