Restrictions in Srinagar parts to foil UN march

Srinagar: The authorities have imposed restriction in the civil lines area of Srinagar to foil the march to United Nations Military Observers Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) Friday as called by the joint resistance leadership.
Curfew like restrictions is in place in the downtown areas besides some parts of the civil lines, reports said.
Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, spearheading the agitation demanding right to self determination, have given UNMOGIP ‘challo’ call after Friday prayers.
Police sources said that “to prevent any disturbance”, restrictions under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed in some areas.
