Srinagar: Paying tributes to Kashmiris languishing in jails while serving lifers or prolonged detentions, the JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik on Sunday said that hundreds of Kashmiris have been imprisoned under black laws like PSA and no one from the international community is concerned about the plight of these people, imprisoned for perusing a political struggle.
In a statement issued here, Malik said Kashmiri prisoners like Dr Muhammad Qasim Faktoo (who completed 24 years in jail), Dr Muhammad Shafi Khan Shareati, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Maqsood Ahmad Butt, Ghulam muhammad Butt, Barkat Ali Khan, Muhammad Sadiq Kajar, Saiyee Muhammad Kajar, Mehandiya Kajar, Feroz Ahmad Mir, Pervaiz Ahmad Mir,Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Abdul Gani Goni, ,Javed Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Mala, Muhammad Aslam, Sheikh Imran, Muhammad Akeel Wani, , Gul Muhammad Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Abdul Hamid Teeli, Mehmood Topiwla, Muhammad Hussain Malik, Muhammad Ishaq Pall, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Ahad Naik, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Nisar Mirza, Bilal Ahmad Kota , Ali Muhammad Hasanabad, Latif Ahmad Waja besides others were convicted falsely against all norms of justice and law and now after putting them in jails for years ,rulers are using every tactic to prolong their incarceration.
Terming the silence of international community and international institutions on human rights and justice as criminal Malik said the Indian courts following the orders of executive are denying these inmates every right to live in freedom and perusing the doctrine of injustice are prolonging their incarceration in jails. He said the international community stands as a mute spectator on this injustice. He said the jailed Kashmiris were the heroes of oppressed nation and the people are indebted to them and will never forget their sacrifices for the just cause.
