JAMMU: All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association (AJHLA) has expressed concern over delay being caused in providing sewerage connections to the hotels despite assurance by the authorities.
Addressing a meeting of the Association held under the chairmanship of Inderjeet Khajuria, President AJHLA, Pawan Gupta said that State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) has unnecessary harassed hoteliers of Jammu despite State Government assurance.
He said Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu during his pre-budget meeting with hoteliers of Jammu ensured sewerage connections to the Hoteliers as the of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) being constructed by NBCC for Government of Jammu and Kashmir, which is going to connect all residential and commercial areas of old Jammu City, will be completed soon.
He expressed his concern for delay in commissioning of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) being constructed by NBCC.
He urged the Sewerage Department to complete the work on the layout of pipes and provide connections to the Hoteliers in Jammu who are under constant pressure of the Pollution Control Board (PCB).
