Pulwama: Police and army resorted to aerial firing to disperse violent protesters at Nowpora Lassipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Government forces resorted to aerial firing and tear gas shelling in Nowpora Lassipora village after clashes erupted between protesters and forces during a cordon and search operation.
Eyewitness told Kashmir Reader that scores of youth took to streets and staged protest soon after forces cordoned the area.
However, police sources said that few youths pelted stones on forces who were chased away. They said that the situation was completely under control.
