Srinagar: A CRPF man and two photojournalists were among the injured when clashes between the government forces and protesters erupted in Nowhatta area of the old Srinagar after Friday prayers.
Reports said that the CRPF man was injured after protesters hurled a petrol bomb towards the forces.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that soon after the congregational prayers ended hundreds of protesters raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans started marching however a large deployment of government forces stopped them resulting into clashes.
They said that protesters pelted rocks on the forces while as the men in uniform fired tear smoke shells.
Two photojournalists and a CRPF man were among the injured so far who were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The clashes were going on when reports last came in.
