Bandipora: Two youth have been detained under Public Saftey Act (PSA) in Bandipora and shifted to different Jails of Jammu and Kashmir.
The youth, who belong to Hajin area of the district, were slapped with PSA on Tuesday and Wednesday, taking the toll of the detained youth in the district under this act to 52, since the killing of militant Commander Burhan Wani onJuly 8 last year.
Mohammad Iqbal Wani, 28, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, a copper smith by profession was shifted to Kot-Balwal Jail in Jammu, while
Shahzad Ahmad Sofi, son of Jalal-ud-din Sofi from Shangund, Hajin was slapped with PSA on Wednesday and shifted to the Kupwara jail.
According to the sources the youth have been accused of different crimes, ranging from stone throwing to assembling violent mob during 2016 uprising.
