Saeed’s detention saddened Kashmiris: LeT

SRINAGAR: Expressing sorrow over the house detention of Jamaat-ud-Dawa Chief, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Wednesday said the move has “saddened” the people of Kashmir.

In an e-mailed statement issued to a local news agency, a spokesman of LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi while quoting the outfit chief, Mehmood Shah said, “The ongoing freedom movement in Kashmir is as per the rules of United Nations and Kashmiris have made Pakistan their arbitrator.”

He said, “Hafiz Saeed remained always in the forefront over the Kashmir issue and exposed Indian brutality in Kashmir.”

Shah said, “Detaining Hafiz Saeed will prove fatal blow to the ongoing freedom movement of Kashmir. India always wanted to suppress this voice and others who exposed their real face.”

The outfit chief appealed the Pakistan government to revisit the decision.(KNS)
