Srinagar: According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching Western Himalayas, which is presently marked over Afghanistan and adjoining parts of Pakistan. The system is gradually moving in east direction towards Jammu and Kashmir.
At present, the region has already started witnessing cloudy sky.
According to Skymet Weather, Western Disturbance will start affecting the weather by the evening of February 3, wherein light rain and snow will commence initially over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh.
The intensity and spread of the weather activity will pick up pace by January 4. Weathermen predict moderate to heavy rain and snowfall to lash several parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand.
