Pulwama: Clashes erupted between youth and government forces in Murran village of Pulwama district during a search operation on Wednesday evening.
The search and cordon operation was launched by government forces following an input about the presence of militants at Bonapora Murran village of Pulwama, sources said.
As the search operation started, youth pelted forces with stones, which was retaliated by teargas shells to disperse them. However, no one was injured during the clashes.
Superintendent of Police SSP Pulwama Mohammed Rayees Bhat told Kashmir Reader that a joint team of forces launched the search and cordon operation but was called off in the evening.
