SRINAGAR: One of the oldest banks of the state, Jammu and Kashmir State Co-operative bank has conducted twenty awareness camps specifically on digital payment systems during December and January.
In an official statement, the Bank said that it has started an aggressive campaign to aware people in general and its clientele in particular about various modes of digital payment systems. The bank conducted these camps mainly in rural arrears in collaboration with various line departments and NGO`s.
The statement added that there has been an overwhelming response and people are eager to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the digital payment modes, post demonetisation.
The statement further reads that the bank is actively working with NABARD for financial literacy programme to realise the digitisation goals.
