Baramulla: In order to ensure effective coordination between the administration and the media in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, a meeting was held between media persons and deputy commissioner Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash.
During a general interactive session, the media persons highlighted various issues relating to basic amenities of the people. The media fraternity put forth their issues before the deputy commissioner including setting up a press club in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Naqash ensured every possible help for the media fraternity. He, in turn, sought cooperation from the media persons for the overall development of the society.
Terming the media as the third eye of the government, the deputy commissioner stressed upon the media persons to play their role in the development of the society and ensure a developed district. The DC impressed upon them that they should not promote yellow journalism and their goal must to be the efficient informers for the society.
