Three police officers attached for ‘mismanagement’ of traffic on Sgr-Jmu highway

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police have attached and initiated an inquiry against three senior officers, for alleged mismanagement of traffic on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, reports said on Sunday.
The three officers– Sanjay Kumar Kotwal, who is senior superintendent of police, deputy superintendent of police in Banihal Nihar Rajan and deputy superintendent of traffic police in Kulgam Safdar Hamid– have been attached with the office of Deputy Inspector General over mismanagement of the traffic on the vital road highway between January 20 and 21.
Sources said that the police chief also called for an inquiry into the role played by these three officers.
They said that three other officers have now been deputed to take up the traffic management on the highway.
