Hizb clarifies: Those asking for donation in our name are ‘Indian agents’

Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Thursday said those asking for donation “in our name are Indian agents” while clarifying that it doesn’t rely on people’s donations.
In an e-mailed statement issued to a local news agency, a Hizb spokesman, Saleem Hashmi, while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salahuddin said, “Indian agents have made fake letter pads of Hizb and are pressurising people for donation the proof of which is a letter sent to a resident of Baghat Kanipora namely Muhammad Amin Bhat. Indian agents have threatened him to donate rupees 5 lakh otherwise he and his family will be killed.”
Salahuddin, as per spokesman, added, “We don’t ask for any donations. We have also directed the militants not to ask for the same. Those doing such acts in our name are Indian agents. People must identify those involved in such acts and present them before militants.”
Meanwhile, Salahuddin, as per statement, said that Aarizoo Bashir, a resident of Mandarwara Tral, who has been arrested by police, has no links with the outfit. “Aarizoo is not affiliated with any of the militant outfit,” he said.
