Jammu: Langate legislator and Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) leader Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday appealed to the people of Jammu to support the movement for self determination and said that resolution of Kashmir issues is in the interests of every section of society.
According to a statement Rasheed addressed a daylong convention organized by AIP and United Democratic Party (UDP) at Gandhi Nagar in Jammu. “All the speakers were unanimous in seeking a resolution to the long pending political dispute of J&K and sought resolution to the Kashmir dispute. The speakers vowed to fight against sangh parivar, protecting minorities and seeking justice for deprived people doesn’t amount to communalism and antinationalism.
Rasheed lashed out at Indian leadership for giving the political struggle of people of J&K a communal angle. “Whatsoever the state will get after final resolution to Kashmir dispute or has been enjoying as on date within the ambit of Indian constitution, is not helping or going to help only the Muslims or the people of Kashmir but all the stakeholders will be the dividends of resolution to dispute,” he said.
