SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (M) on Thursday said as long as Kashmir issue would remain unresolved, clouds of threat would keep hovering over South Asia while appealing the international community to “respect the sentiments of Kashmiris and take meaningful steps for the resolution of the vexed issue”.
As per a statement issued here, the leaders of the conglomerate visited various areas of Pulwama and Srinagar districts.
Senior leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited Naina, Pulwama and expressed sympathy and solidarity on behalf of the amalgam chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and entire resistance leadership with the parents and families of Arif Ahmad Shah and Javed Ahmad Bhat who were martyred during the recent uprising.
Senior Hurriyat leader Hilal Ahmad War visited Saidpora, Eidgah area of Srinagar and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family of another martyr Junaid Ahmad, Fozia Sadiq Lone at Gulbagh, Parimpora and later visited Khanmoh, Srinagar to convey the condolences of the unified resistance leadership with the family of yet another martyr Sameer Ahmad Wani.
On the occasion, the Hurriyat leaders while addressing the public gatherings at these places said striving for the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris was the foremost responsibility of the resistance leadership and that they would not allow the selfless sacrifices of thousands of martyrs to go waste and take their mission to its logical conclusion.
“The sacrifices of the martyrs during the ongoing resistance movement are a beacon of light for the nation,” the leader said.
