Sopore returns to normal
Sopore : The normal like in apple town of Sopore limped back to routine on Sunday with business establishments and shops reopening and people restarting their daily activities. The town was shut after the killing of local militant commander Muzaffar Naikoo who was killed by government forces in the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday night.
The traffic was seen plying normally in the town on all routes since morning after remaining closed for two days against the killing of local militant Mohammad Muzzafar Naikoo alais Muze-Molvi, top-ranking Al Bader militant commander.
Meanwhile a Tehreek-e-Hurriyat delegation led by Bashir Ahmed visited the residence of the slain Al Bader militant commander Mohammad Muzafar Naikoo alias Muzze Molvi to express solidarity with his family. While glorifying the service of slain militant they said, Molvi was an exemplary militant who braving all odds, continued the struggle for freedom with full zeal and vigour. They further added that whole nation will definitely follow his footsteps and mission.
The delegation members offered fateha at the grave of the slain militant. Locals shouted pro-freedom slogans on the occasion. On Saturday, United Jihad Council also paid rich tributes to the local militant commander.
