Islamabad: Spokesman of Pakistan Foreign Office Nafees Zakaria has said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and resolutions of United Nations (UN) Security Council.
According to Radio Pakistan, he made the statement in an interview on Sunday night.
Zakaria stated that India was violating basic human rights in Kashmir and was involved in carrying out state-sponsored terrorism. He said that India should be held accountable over its atrocities in the region.
The Pak FO spokesman went on to say that the resolutions of the United Nations provide self-determine to the people of Kashmir.
He called for a plebiscite on Kashmir issue under the supervision of the UN. (Agencies)
