Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the attack on a Ladakhi girl who is perusing MBBS in a Jammu college. Terming the attack on the chastity of this sister as a heinous crime, Malik said that stern punishment should be given to the person involved in this odious crime. JKLF chairman expressed solidarity with the attacked girl and his family.
While condemning the re-arrest of JKLF leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Hurriyat spokesman Muhammad Akbar Ayaz, resistance leader Moulana Sarjan Barkati and many others besides the continued house arrest of JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Malik said that these people were released by the court but police is keeping them in jails and police stations illegally. The statement said that the high court recently quashed the PSA on Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Akbar Ayaz and Moulana Sarjan Barkati but police after re-arresting them has not yet released them.
Similarly JKLF leader Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was released on court orders but has been placed under house arrest immediately after his release.
