Pregnant woman saved at Qazigund

SRINAGAR: Police at Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district saved life of a pregnant lady after they reached in time and shifted the lady to district hospital Anantnag.
Station house officer (SHO) Qazigund Nazir Ahmad Teli received a call from a close relative of the pregnant lady at 2 in the morning who told him that a lady from Nessu Badragund village needs to be shifted to hospital. The village is a few kilometres away from the Srinagar-Nammu highway and the road leading to it was covered with snow.
“Since the link road was covered by about 5 inch snow, SHO along with his police party drove the ambulance by pushing it through thick snow to reach the Nessu village,” said a close relative of the patient, adding that
The lady was very serious and there was no source of help to them.
The relatives thanked the police for rescuing the lady.
