Mufti bridged gap between Delhi and JK: BJP

Srinagar: The ruling PDP’s coalition partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has paid rich tributes the late chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on his first death anniversary.
“Late Mufti was a great statesman and a tall leader with a vision. He kept on fighting for the rights of people till his last breath,” BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said in a statement.
Jehangir said, “Late leader played a pivotal role in establishing peace in Jammu and Kashmir and worked hard to bridge the gap between JK and Delhi. He took a historic decision by joining hands with BJP to form the coalition government in the state. No one can forget late Mufti’s contribution and his commitment towards people.”
