Assembly speaker allows discussion on Kashmir uprising

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta Tuesday allowed a discussion on Kashmir uprising in the House.
At least 90 civilians were killed and 14000 were injured in force’s actions after militant commander Burhan Wani’s killing triggered a massive uprising in the valley after July 8, 2016.
Earlier, opposition strongly raised anti-government slogans in the house which met for the second day of budget session.
The protesting opposition members were demanding a comprehensive discussion on the uprising and civilian killings which was accepted by the speaker after few minutes of ruckus.
